Great breeze allowed for two races on Friday afternoon of the 2024 C WYA at Delavan Lake. The wind did not cooporate for the remainder of the weekend. But that didn't stop the fun off the water with impromptu Volleyball, a live band, and catching up with friends from around the WYA lakes, fun was had. Sunday morning saw the fleet head out to try for one more race on the scorecard, but it turned quickly into a drifter and was abandoned. Great work by the PRO team spearheaded by Mark Prange (Okauchee) as always. Beulah had a good showing, with the Haeger family taking 3 of the top 5 finishes, closely followed by the Bricklers B-18 in 6th.
Dave Keck 00-99 (brother of Beulah's Andrea (Keck) Jarecki) won the event, taking his 5th WYA C title and was carried triumphantly, crowd surf style, to the stage to accept his trophy (look for that photo on WYA's social channels).
Will Haeger & Kyle Stack accept their 2nd place overall and 1st race win trophies from Brian Brickler, WYA Commodore.
Annie (Haeger) & Luke Ramsay 3rd overall. Pictured with Riley Greeson who was lined up to 3rd if needed.
Kent Haeger & Mike Greeson 5th.
