Sidestays was founded in 1968 as an auxiliary organization and is open to all female members of the club. After 50+ years of service, Sidestays continues to raise funds to support youth sailing and the Lake Beulah Yacht Club. Thanks to the dedication of all members and their many hours of valuable time, Sidestays was able to raise enough money to donate to our outstanding sailors in their quest for international excellence, to provide substantial support for our youth sailors and contribute to the well-needed kitchen and club supplies. See our list of donations made over the years in support of LBYC and LBSS. During the past season, Sidestays provided funds to purchase a new sign for the Lake Club property. It is a wonderful addition to the site.
For the 2024 season Sidestays will be hosting three Lunch & Learn Events on June 20, July 18, and August 22. The general meetings will be on June 11 and August 27. Also planned is an event/golf outing on August 8. More information will be available at a later date. If you haven’t joined or participated in the Sidestays activities in the past, please consider doing so for the 2024 season.
Be sure to include Sidestays as part of your annual LBYC membership to enjoy all three luncheons at no cost.

Memoir Workshop
Sidestays Memoir Writers group continues during summer!
All Sidestays and guests welcome. Bring a piece to share, if you like (optional but encouraged!). Help other writers by giving some feedback, get some tips on memoir writing, hear some great personal stories! It's okay to drop in when you can. This group is looking to develop some lake stories to share with the whole club at some point, but all stories are welcome.
